New Features and Content

  • Custom Games
    • Two new options have been added, Team Battle Chat and True Vision, that you can turn on or off.
  • Four maps have been updated and added to the map rotation!

Gameplay Improvements

  • Tank physics improved.
  • Various AI improvements made to the bot behavior to move and engage the enemy better.
  • When flipped, your tracks will no longer move to prevent the flip timer from resetting.

Map Improvements

  • Updated color adjustments that provide a much more cinematic vision. Largely inspired by the best tank and war movies on film.

UI Improvements

  • Tech Tree:
    • Nation tech trees are now horizontal and 2D for better navigation.
    • The premium Tech Tree is now horizontal and organized by tier, nation, then class.
    • The highlighted vehicle is now center justified.
  • A new ammo icon was added for higher RoF guns.
  • Added an “Apply to all” option for owned Skins when equipping.
  • Added a dark background to the game mode objective and mode display for better visibility when the match starts.
  • Added a counter to display how many remaining Skins you have for a Commander.
  • Added information for what happens to the Commander Skins when you dismiss a Commander.
  • Adjusted the location of the radial commands to be in a more natural position based on the direction of travel for when you’d likely use them.
    • Positive-based commands are now in the up position.
    • Negative-based commands are now in the down position.
  • All-new stylized art and selection indicators were added throughout the game’s UI.
  • Bundles:
    • Equipment now displays a description.
    • Commander Skin information is now displayed.
    • Owned bundles or items in the bundle are now more clearly indicated.
  • Challenges will now only be displayed if they are compatible with the current game mode.
  • Custom Games:
    • Improved button prompt indicators!
      • “Select Tank” button
        • Fills with red when a tank is not currently selected to make the player more aware of what they need to do.
        • Text changes to “Change Vehicle” if a tank is already selected.
      • “Launch Game” button will fill with red once all players have a tank selected.
    • New option added for Room Battle Chat.
      • Turning this on allows both teams to talk to each other during the match.
    • New option added for True Vision.
      • Default is set to off when World War II is selected and on when Cold War is selected.
  • Daily Challenges now display if you have a reroll remaining.
  • Full House emblem renamed to Joker’s Flush.
  • Garage:
    • “Plays up to tier” display added – World War II Only
  • HUD:
    • The bounce indicator stays visible for a longer period of time.
    • Base icons are now circles for all modes except Team Destruction.
    • Mini-map displays elevation indicators of a tank.
    • Location grid display added.
    • New aiming reticle for missiles.
  • Removed the exit confirmation prompt when leaving Custom Games to go back to the game mode selection screen.
  • Replaced module damage with shell velocity in the module view for ammo stats.
  • Replay browser:
    • The game mode is now displayed on the thumbnail image.
    • While the replay is downloading, the button will update the text to show the downloading progress.
  • Spectator HUD:
    • Efficiency information will be displayed for the spectated vehicle.
  • Tank appearance:
    • Skins now have their own section within the “Skins & Camouflage” section to make them easier to find.
  • Trade-in dialog improved to show cost breakdown.
  • Upgrade:
    • The tank information panel for a tank unlocked in Upgrades now displays the tier and class of the vehicle.
  • “Eagle Eye” Orlov and Phantom of Falun icons updated with a new pose.

Issues Addressed

  • A Premium tank’s Commander XP bonus now displays correctly in the PBRS when no Commander is equipped.
  • Ammunition names now scroll if they are too long.
  • BT-7: Swapped engines to fix engine progression.
  • Canceling a purchase no longer plays the purchased audio.
  • Cliff: Rock at G2 is no longer floating.
  • Commanders with special VO will now use their correct VO.
  • El Alamein: Shooting ships in the ocean no longer shows a sand splash effect.
  • Fixed Key Card description in the store to fit in the display.
  • Fixed punctuation localization for progress counters.
  • Fixed spacing in the Commander assignment panel.
  • G.I. JOE Commanders now display the correct rarity background in the garage’s Commander display.
  • G.I. JOE MOBAT updated tank icon.
  • Ghost Town: Removed collision from awnings sticking out from building so that tanks no longer get hung up on them.
  • Holding right or left on the Upgrades tab no longer causes the info panel to flicker.
  • Long Haul reward now displays a Key Card icon.
  • M1A1 Abrams: Adjusted the inscription location.
  • M24E2 Super Chaffee: Updated the tank icon.
  • Mines: Blocked off access to an unintended area in F0.
  • Mouse highlight and inputs now behave correctly for vehicle filters in the garage.
  • PBRS Commander icon is now the correct size for all 3D Commanders.
  • PBRS efficiency report now shows if you destroyed the enemy tank or not.
  • Premium missile information now displays correctly in the module viewer.
  • Premium Tech Tree filter no longer closes after exiting the tank purchase menu.
  • Reload times are now consistent between the module viewer and the detailed stats page.
  • Removed “:” from the shell type display in module stats.
  • Replays: Base colors are no longer reversed.
  • Special tank filters stay visually selected after a battle.
  • Tank’s detailed stats will now reflect the change when a Commander’s skill is removed.
  • The Consumable auto-resupply panel now only shows valid currency options available.
  • The correct zoom magnification will now display.
  • The Friends replay section now displays friends’ replays from all consoles.
  • You can now scroll through the Custom Games map list with a mouse.
