Big, powerful, and scary, the German super heavy line has always been a strong presence on the battlefield. With thick armor and large hitpoint pools, these tanks are the weapon of choice for pushing the front lines under heavy fire.

This edition of Tanks Reforged takes a look at these iconic machines and how they will be updated to perform on par with today’s tank standards.

German Tier X Maus Heavy Tank

The Maus tops off the German super heavy tank line and comes with the best armor in the game. It’s designed for front-line combat to block and soak up damage with its armor and large health pool.  As a trade-off, its DPM and mobility are lower, so while you can take a lot of damage, it takes you a while to get to the front line and deal damage yourself.

In this pass, the Maus receives a significant reduction in reload time and dispersion values to increase its damage potential on the frontlines. Its top speed has also been increased to help it get into position quicker and take advantage of this DPM increase.

German Tier IX Mäuschen Heavy Tank

Like the Maus, the Mäuschen receives an increase in its top speed to 25 km/h in order to get to the battle quicker.

The Mäuschen terrain resistance values were much worse than any other German super heavy, which caused it to not be able to reach its top speed in most situations. This adjustment will give it noticeably better acceleration and will be able to make good use of the new top speed.

With these changes, the playstyle of the Mäuschen will feel closer to the rest of the tanks in this line.

German Tier VIII VK 100.01 (P) Heavy Tank

The VK 100.01 (P) also receives an additional speed boost like the Maus and the Mäuschen, albeit of a lower value given its extremely solid frontal profile and fewer weak spots than other tanks in the German super heavy line.

German Tier VIII Super Heavy Premium Tanks

Not to be left behind (pun intended), the German Premium super heavy vehicles have also received a speed increase to them keep up-to-date with the Tech Tree line and in top fighting shape on the battlefield. Additionally, the armor has been upgraded in two places to improve each tank’s overall frontal defensive capabilities to live up to the super heavy title.
